It’s Not the End of the World Adelaide!
Tuesday Night Jazz has a new home at Live on Light Square.
After 8 long years of Explosive talent at the Worlds End Hotel, Adelaide’s most enduring Jazz night will move to a new Home launching Tuesday June 23rd at Live on Light Square.
Local Sax Icon Chris Soole who has manned the renowned Fred Neeson Jazz Explosion for many years will pack up this mid week tradition with its tidy following and under a new banner “The Chris Soole Jazz Quartet” will ignite the Live Front bar on Tuesday nights.
The new quartet will feature ex Audries bassist Lyndon Gray, Gill Atkinson on drums and Downbeat award winner Matt Sheens. The band will be playing modern jazz with a touch of funk, including artists such as Herbie Hancock, Tribal Tech, Yellowjackets, Pat Metheny, Kurt Rosenwinkel plus some original writing by the band.
“We are hoping that the Tuesday night regulars will support the move and keep the tradition alive but also expect to attract some fresh faces” Chris Soole has said.
